Game review request
If you have released a game and would like us to review it on the podcast you can check out our FAQ and complete the form below.
What kind of Adventure games do you review?
Whatever is considered an adventure game :) These include point and click, 3rd person, 1st person, retro games, modern games, narrative driven games, etc.
Do you review Myst style games?
We’re not usually the biggest fans of Myst style games on the podcast (with exceptions) but if your game is a Myst style game you can indeed send us a Steam code and we will do our very best to play it and review it on the podcast.
Do you review Visual Novels, Action Adventures, RPGs, etc.
We usually focus on the types of adventure games mentioned in the first question but if there is a strong story in your game we may make an exception and review your game.
How likely is it that you will play and review my game if I send you a code?
If we did this full time we could guarantee it but since we do this podcast in our free time it would depend on how much free time we had so we wouldn’t be able to guarantee we would be able to play and review it. That said we would prioritise games sent for review and we would do everything possible to play and review it in a timely fashion.
Can I ask you first if you are able to review my game or if my game will meet the criteria above to be reviewed?
Yes you can indeed! we’re always happy to play adventure games but if you want to make sure we have time to play your game or that the game would meet the criteria above you can always check with us first if you wish.
How likely is it that people would buy my game if you review it?
We don’t have exact numbers but a number of people have written to us letting us know that they have bought a game based on our recommendations. This podcast is growing and has a loyal fanbase who are passionate about adventure games so there is a good chance listeners will purchase a game that is featured on the podcast.
How often would your reviews be positive overall?
We love adventure games so we would usually find something we like about them. Our reviews are always honest so we will need mention if we have any issues and give constructive criticism. That said we will never go on rants or get personal or mock the game or developer as we know how hard it is to make adventure games and we always strive to be supportive.
How many Steam or Game codes should I send?
You can send us at least one and one of us will do our very best to play the game as soon as we can. That said, since there are three of us, if you send three codes t here will be a higher chance that one of us would be able to play and review it?
Should I send a walkthrough?
We try not to use walkthroughs so it’s not necessary. That said, if you have a walkthrough or know of a link to either a video or written walkthrough you can indeed send it to us to ensure we can continue the game if we get stuck. At the very least it would be appreciated if you were available in case we need hints or come across any bugs :)
Do you do Beta-Testing?
Not usually as it depends on our free time. That said you can always message us and ask us if you would like us to beta-test your game and we’ll see what we can do!
If you aren’t able to review the game relatively soon can you help any other way?
Sure! If the game looks good but we don’t have time to review it at this particular time we may be able to mention it in our News segment and provide links in the show notes and help to get the word out that way in the meantime!
Do you have an official Twitch stream of gameplay videos?
Yes we do! We have an official Twitch stream for the podcast here but since we’re currently focused on the podcast you can always find the Twitch streams for our two co-hosts Laura and Tomas who are more active and have a growing number of followers.
